About The Artist          

 Lou DeCaro is a retired teacher with a passion for impressionist painting.  In 2005, he began raising money for medical research by auctioning his paintings at various fundraising events in an effort to help those with serious life-threatening diseases. Lou was awarded the 2010 Spirit Award by the Father Thomas Hartman Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Inc. at its "Cure For Sure Dinner" at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. He once again donated fifteen paintings for this year's Hartman Foundation fundraiser on Tuesday, June 12, 2012.
